Window: November 19, 2026 – January 1, 2027
Who Qualifies? Associate School students applying full-time with 6 or more core credits (English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Health/PE, Financial Literacy).
Lottery Dates: The priority lottery runs between January 29 and February 2, 2027. Results will be sent via email on or before February 5, 2027.

2. General Application Round

Window: November 19, 2026 – February 15, 2027
Who Qualifies? All applicants, including part-time students and non-associate school applicants.
Lottery Dates: The general lottery runs between February 22 and March 1, 2027. Results will be sent via email on or before March 1, 2027.

Tier 2 Associate School Student Part-Time w/ 6+ Core Credits
Tier 3 Non-Associate School Student Full-Time w/ 6+ Core Credits

Enrollment & Application FAQs

1. How old does a student need to be to apply?
Students need to be preparing to enter 11th or 12th grade during the 2027–2028 school year. We also offer one 10th grade program—Construction Trades - 10—designed for students entering 10th grade in 2027–2028.
2. What is a lottery and why do you use it?
A lottery is a random selection process used to choose applicants when there are more eligible students than available spots in a program. Using a lottery ensures a fair and impartial selection process.
3. What are the criteria for denial?
Per Ohio Department of Education and Workforce Development guidelines, students cannot be denied admission based on attendance or academic performance. Denial can only occur due to an out-of-school suspension lasting 10 consecutive days or expulsion from school. Transcripts are reviewed to ensure a minimum of 6 core credits.
4. What are Core Credits?
Core credits are a mix of credits from English, Math, Science, Social Studies, Health/PE, and Financial Literacy.
5. What does "Pre-Acceptance" mean?
Pre-Acceptance means TRCC would like to offer a spot to the student. However, the associate school counselor MUST complete Part 2 of the application before formal notification is sent. If Part 2 is not completed, the student will be removed from the acceptance list.
6. What if I apply for full-time and later want part-time status?
Full-time applicants receive higher priority in the lottery. If you apply full-time to an oversubscribed program, you must remain full-time through the first semester. Requesting a switch to part-time before school starts will move you to the bottom of the waitlist. You may request a switch to part-time at the start of Semester 2.
