following scholarships are available to TRCC Graduating
Seniors based on qualifications and completed application
materials. Students will be recognized at Senior Recognition
Night in May 17, 2008..
1. Fred Ryan
Memorial
Applicant must
be a senior at Tri-Rivers Career Center and planning to
continue an education at a college, technical school, or
licensed nursing program.
Applicant must
provide documentation of plans to attend college.
Applicant must
be eligible to receive a Tri-Rivers certificate of
completion in his/her program.
Applicant must
submit recommendation forms to all current teachers of the
applicant as well as to one person of the applicant's
choice.
Selection is
based on grades and financial need, with emphasis on
attitude, attendance, seriousness of purpose, initiative,
dependability, and getting along with others.
2. Sally A.
Schweinfurth Memorial
Applicant must
have maintained a 4.0 average in both English and Social
Studies while a student at Tri-Rivers.
Applicant must
provide documentation of plans to attend a university or
technical college.
Applicant must
submit recommendation forms to all current teachers of the
applicant as well as to one person of the applicant's
choice.

based on grades and financial need, with emphasis on
attitude, attendance, seriousness of purpose, initiative,

3. Nancy Howald
Chapman Memorial
Must be a
full-time senior at Tri-Rivers Career Center.
Applicant must
have maintained a 3.0 accumulative grade point average in
all courses at Tri-Rivers.
Applicant must
be enrolled in Early Childhood Education with a desire to
continue their education after high school.
Applicant must
provide evidence of participation in student activities at
Tri-Rivers.
Applicant must
provide documentation of plans to attend a university or
technical college.
Applicant must
submit recommendation forms to all current teachers of the
applicant as well as to one person of the applicant's
choice.
4. Tri-Rivers
Education Association
Applicant must
be a senior at Tri-Rivers Career Center and planning to
continue an education at a college, technical school, or
licensed nursing program.
Applicant must
provide documentation of plans to attend college.
Applicant must
have achieved a 3.5 GPA while a student at Tri-Rivers
(this does not include GPA from home school).
Applicant must
submit a recommendation form to all current teachers of
the applicant as well as to one person of the applicant's
choice.
Before
receiving this scholarship, a student must provide
documentation of paying for college tuition or books.
Selection is
based on grades and financial need with emphasis on
attitude, attendance, seriousness of purpose, initiative,
dependability, and getting along with others.
Student must
also hold an officer's position in a youth club at
Tri-Rivers.
5. Tri-Rivers
Alumni Association Scholarship
Applicant must
be a senior at Tri-Rivers Career Center and planning to
continue an education at a college, technical school,
licensed nursing program, or cosmetology school.
Applicant must
provide documentation of plans to attend college.
Applicant must
be eligible to receive a Tri-Rivers certificate of
completion in their program.
Applicant must
submit a recommendation form to all current teachers of
the applicant as well as to one person of the applicant's
choice.
Selection is
based on grades and financial need, with emphasis on
attitude, attendance, seriousness of purpose, initiative,
dependability, participation in CTSO activities, and
community service events.

Culinary Arts Scholarship
Applicant must
be a full-time senior at TRCC.
Selection is
based on grades, financial need, initiative, seriousness
of purpose, dependability, and attendance.
Applicant must
be enrolled in Culinary Arts with a desire to continue in
the field of Culinary Arts.
Applicant must
provide documentation of plans to attend a university or
technical college.
Applicant must
submit a recommendation form to all current teachers of
the applicant as well as to one person of the applicant's
choice.
7. Burroughs
Nature Club Scholarship
Selection is
based on grades, financial need, attitude, seriousness of
purpose, initiative, dependability, and attendance.
Applicant must
be a full-time student at TRCC with senior status.
Applicant must
show evidence of having participated in student
activities.
Applicant must
provide documentation of plans for attending a university
or technical college.
Applicant must
intend on majoring in horticulture or some related field.
Applicant must
submit a recommendation form to all current teachers of
the applicant as well as to one person of the applicant's
choice.
8. Don Stose
Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must
be a full-time senior at Tri-Rivers who is enrolled in
Culinary Arts with a desire to continue education after
high school.
Selection is
based on grades and financial need with emphasis on
attitude, seriousness of purpose, initiative,
dependability and getting along with others.
Applicant must
provide documentation of plans to attend a university,
technical college, or specialty training school after high
school.
Applicant must
submit a recommendation from each teacher the applicant
has had as well as from one person of the applicant's
choice.
9. Bill Guthery Memorial Scholarship
Applicant must be a full-time senior at Tri-Rivers who is enrolled in one
of the following programs: Agriculture & Industrial
Technology, Automotive Technology or Collision Repair
Technology.
Selection is based on grades and financial needs with

initiative, dependability and getting along with others.

10. John F Kreis Memorial Scholarship
To recognize
a deserving full-time Tri-Rivers Career Center student
for his / her school accomplishments with a financial
award to assist in furthering their education in the
field of his / her choice
Be a
full-time senior in a program at Tri-Rivers Career
Center and taking his / her academic courses at
Tri-Rivers
Have
maintained a 2.0 total GPA
Provide
documentation of financial need
Provide
documentation of plans to attend a university, technical
college or specialty training school after high school.
May receive
an initial award to equal the amount of the year’s
interest accrued, but not exceed $1,000, with subsequent
awards of previous amounts per year to possibly be given
until completion of degree, not to exceed a total of 5
years. Subsequent awards are dependent on the applicant
maintaining a good academic standing upon completion of
a previous year or term in a university, technical
college or a post-secondary specialty training school
