Program Description:
This course will provide you the intimate knowledge of why criminals and inmates behave like they do as well as what to expect when dealing with them.

You have to interact with individuals who, at times, will not be the most understanding people in our communities. Your understanding of how they think, act and realize their value system will allow you to not only comprehend their actions; but you will have the ability to interact better, anticipate violence and realize their thinking. This course will give the law enforcement and correction’s officer the knowledge of inmate and criminal manipulations and how to detect inappropriate inmate staff relations. You will be immersed in the prison and jail subcultures and manipulation games. You will be able to detect when you are being played or groomed. Protect yourself from discipline, litigation and prosecution. Course instructor OPOTA certified. Continuing education certificates issued.

This course will include information on:
 What is a criminal
 Criminal thinking errors defined
 Why criminals do and think as they do
 Criminal and inmate manipulations
 How to anticipate violence and recognize the danger cues
 Inappropriate inmate staff relationships
 Protect yourself from litigation and discipline
