BLAST! (Babysitter Lessons
and Safety Training)
Designed for children ages 10-16, their parents, and
parents looking to hire a babysitter, the
BLAST!
program can prepare children to interview for a
babysitting job, select safe and suitable games and
activities, prevent accidents, perform first aid,
and begin babysitting safely and competently.
Designed by the
American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), this program
is taught by EMS professionals with expertise in
childcare and child safety. Students will complete
American Heart Association HeartSaver pediatric CPR.

Healthcare Provider Course
Course Description
The BLS Healthcare Provider Course is designed to
provide a wide variety of healthcare professionals
the ability to recognize several life-threatening
emergencies, provide CPR, use an AED, and relieve
choking in a safe, timely and effective manner. The
course is intended for certified or non certified,
licensed or non licensed healthcare professionals.
Course Length: Approximately
4 1/2 hours
Intended Audience
Healthcare providers, such as physicians, nurses,
paramedics, emergency medical technicians,
respiratory therapists, physical and occupational
therapists, physician's assistants, residents or
fellows, or medical or nursing students in training,
aides, medical or nursing assistants, police
officers, and other allied health personnel.

Home Fire Safety
Have you ever wondered if your smoke detector is
placed correctly? What type of fire extinguisher do
I need? How do I use my fire extinguisher? Can I
really only plug in three strands of lights on my
Christmas tree? How do I get out of my home in the
event of a fire?
If you have ever wondered about these fire safety
questions or others, you can benefit from this
class. Taught by trained professionals, this course
will give you the necessary information to keep you
and your family safe.
The course is offered in 2 hour sessions and 4 hours
sessions. The 4 hour session includes hands on fire
extinguisher training and escaping a smoke filled
environment. Class participants under the age of 18
must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
